In 2005 ASD provided the inwater construction expertise to North
West Bay Ships for the upgrade and extension of their slipway
for the launch of the newly constructed 1200 tonne Mega Yacht MV
White Rabbit.
Steel pile cutoff tolerances were to 5mm, ASD chose to use
Oxy-Hydrogen as our cutting medium for its accurate and clean
cutting capabilities. End result all piles were cut to within
2mm.
Pre-cast pile caps were craned into position and epoxy grouted.
Steel weigh units were positioned using existing slipway cradle
and crane barge and Tru bolted into position.
Refurbishment of Tolosa Street reservoir tower for Hobart Water
Authority involved converting the 100 plus year old structure
from a wet tower to a dry tower enabling internal remote cctv
vehicle inspection of outlet pipe.
ASD regularly provide diving and construction services to
Tasports, Marine and Safety Tasmania, Civil Construction
Corporation, Hazel Bros and Civic Solutions.

During the demolition of the No1 warehouse a ANM Boyer, we were
commissioned by Haywards ty Ltd to complete in-water cut-off of
440 timber piles below the mid line. Because of machinery
tolerances at the nearby plant, we used pneumatic chainsaws
instead of explosives. The job was completed in time and on
budget. We were also recently involved in the demolition of
ANM's Pavilion point wharf cutting off timber and steel piles
and clearance of debris from seabed for Hazel Bros Pty Ltd.
