ASD is certified to carry out inwater class surveys by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and regularly provide these services for TT Line, INCAT, North Western Shipping and Towage, Australian Antarctic Division and Marine and Safety Tasmania.


We have had a long association with Tasmania's world renowned wave-piecing catamaran designer INCAT by providing them with diving services since 1972.Catamaran Our divers have fitted Maritime Dynamics designed ride-control T-foils to several of INCAT's vessel, including on-site work in Barcelona, Spain.

ASD divers assisted with the removal and replacement of four jets, impellers and shafts on an INCAT wave-piercing catamaran. Each jet weighed 7 tonnes and the job had never before been done in-water, work was completed in less than 4 days and the ship made the Hobart-New Zealand crossing in less than 18 hours.

ASD is the major supplier of diving services to Hobart based ice class shipping services that ply the southern ocean and Antarctic waters over the summer season. We also service the summer cruise shipping fleet, research vessels and deep water trawl fishing vessels.

Our services are states wide and include the port of Melbourne.

ASD perform many On Hire and Off Hire inwater surveys for clients including Australian Antactic Division, Jebsen Shipping, Teekay Shipping, INCAT, ASP Ship Managment and TT line.
